2020 PREVENTION HIGHLIGHTS

ENACTED INTO LAW

  1. HB415 passed the Senate 22-11 on 03/26/20, and passed the House 52-33 w/ HCS, HFA2, HFA7, & HFA8 on 03/18/20, and was delivered to the Governor on 03/26/20 (permits direct-to-consumer shipment of all types of alcoholic beverages by KY & out-of-state licensed manufacturers, distributers, & packaged retailers)
  2. SB150 passed House 84-0 w/ HCS & HCA(1) on 03/19/20, passed Senate 30-0 on 03/26/20, was enacted into law w/o Governor’s signature on 04/08/20 (HCS– deletes original provisions & provides emergency relief for citizens & businesses during the COVID-19 state of emergency to permit liquor by-the-drink sales at eligible establishments)
